I did the new suspension, with help from SC&C and some ATS spindles. It was (ahem) some one else's chassis that will remain nameless as to not stir up any more controversy.

Oh ok, looks nice thou. Figure how much weight you saved over the stock frame?

I got some help from Mark at SC&C as well. Great guy!!
I just cleaned up the OEM frame and added QA-1 coil overs, tubular uppers from Mark, tubular lowers from GW and Wilwood brakes.

Lots of work in those few pictures....how many hours do you figure you have in all of that? Looks great, I know you bound to be anxious to try it all out.

It will be some time before it is on the road, not time to work on it. I have many hours in it, measuring and fabricating. If I knew it was going to be like this I would have used the stock chassis will all the goodies, but three years ago when I bought it there was nothing for our cars like there is now, plus I am a little smarter now that some have schooled me in geometry and torsional rigidity. I believe it saved about 200lbs. when I got it now it is a little heavier due to the added bracing.
thanks for the feed back.

Tbart, that is one of the nicest pieces of custom fab work i have seen for a second gen. What inspired you to do this? What application do you intend to use this for? Autocrossing? I bought all the global west goodies, and I only intended to clean up my stock subframe and reinforce some of the weak points. Any suggestions as to where to focus my attention?
Thanks... Again very nice!

The stock factory chassis with aftermarket parts is hard to beat. I don't think there is much more to do than the control arms, better tires, correct alignment, performance box and I think the tall ball joint mod. Frame connectors are a must along with solid body mounts. ( I never fully researched the stock chassis, I should have.). The reason I went with this was for the wow factor mostly, I also made the assumption that the aftermarket chassis had better numbers than stock, the frame was definitely lighter than stock but very flimsy. I am far from an expert on this stuff but I learned the hard way.
thanks for the good feedback
