Need a dimension...

Does anyone out there have a dimension from the bottom-of-rocker panel pinch weld to the other across the car?

Thanks,
Shane

Maybe it will see an Auto-X someday

Any particular point you have in mind.... Front, rear, center, all of the above?

I don't know if it varies from end-to-end but if I'm gonna crawl under my car with a tape measure, I want to know what you're looking for.

Thanks guys,

My car is immobile at the present moment & tight to the one garage wall, or Id measure my own.

I was looking for a dimension within about a foot of the front edge of rear wheel well.

As a bonus, if the car has Alston frame connectors, can I get a dimension from drivers side pinch to the connector tube?

Thanks again,
Shane

Shane,

I took 2 measurements.

First was measured at the only place I could get the tape measure all the way across without any obstructions...about 32" forward of the rear wheelwell front edge: 49-1/2"

Second was at your requested 12" location. I had to measure from the outer edge of my CE frame connectors out to the edge and got the same measurement on both sides: 5-1/4". Then measured the frame connectors outer edges: 39-1/4". Total 49-3/4"

Hope this helps.

I went and double checked cuz our #'s didnt match.
Doing it by myself I hooked the dumb end of the tape over the leaf spring to hold it on the pinch weld:

Then I went to the other side and got:

This is with no driveshaft or exhaust in the way.

Hope this helps.
Mark

Thanks guys,

I am going to be mocking up my new exhaust this weekend & needed this dimension to build one of the major pieces (out of cardboard) in preparation

Ill post photos for you guys later. You should get a kick out of it.
