First pass in the T/A

Went to our local 1/8th mile track last night for TnT to help a buddy with his 68 camaro. Anyway, he made a few passes and of course I got the itch again (been 3 years!!) so I made a baseline pass in the 97 T/A. Car has 141K miles on it now..all original except for a CAI and a hotchkis PHB. Ran on my street tires since its still my daily.

I am going to keep a log of the mods and times associated with them and lets see what we can do with the old girl...383 will be in the works later down the road.

I don't think the mph was too bad as it spun a little through 1-2 but was truckin at the top end for a 99% stocker. Ran a 9.27 at 82.4 mph. 60 foot was a crap 2.169

Alot of people think the mph is too fast for the time and they do not believe me (said the track timing system was probably messed up....Some of the racers who went to the other tracks said they are consistent with the other area tracks... the car came on at the end really strong. Maybe the car is a fluke but I like it.

My buddy ran 6.05 @118 so I have a long ways to catch up.

List of the next mods:
Headers and exhaust
DR's
converter
cam

If you spun then I don't think your mph is off.
