A 10 second street car, eh!
SBC 409, through the mufflers, on DOT radials, you know, like a street car should be.

New GTO getting eaten
My 71 roadrace car trying to drag race! 60' times were 2 sec, and 1/4 mile was 12.97-12.85 at 109.6mph. Oh year radials, and manual trans, by the way the guy in the video redlighted by 2 seconds! New GTO's are slow

Best run out of three, first time at the track since the 468 big block install. I was happy for just a starting point, now it's time for easy 12's next time up.
Movies a wmv file so it's pretty small about 2mb.

3.5 meg file
My local track did a "media day", we were supposed to show up & take some of the reporters & news crews for rides down the track but in typical Race City fashion, they screwed up the invites & only a couple of different organizations showed up. This was the only clip that made it to air & they picked me to focus on. The first shot is a burnout & then a launch, then I magically change lanes & end up racing Camertom. Then it ends with a georgeous purple ford taking off.

Put up a couple more that I shot today. Wanted to see if the car would start after getting stuck here when it snowed...didn't make it to storage before it started coming down.
Now, I'm posting because of the audio in the videos. Has anyone had any problems like the one I have there? You'll know what I mean when you hear it. Overmodulating bad bad bad. And any quick fixes for it? I was thinking a couple layers of tape over the mic might do it. If not I'll just have to run on an external mic.
