Carbon fiber parts update

For those of you who have followed my carbon fiber projects, I am finishing the touches on the molds to make rear and front RS bumperettes (70-73) out of carbon fiber. I will keep you posted. Next on the list is an RS nose with the grill shell integrated, I figure it will elimiate some brackets and about 20-25lbs or more off the nose. Anyone have a non warped RS nose i can borrow? All the aftermarket ones fit poorly, old factory ones are warped and twisted. I am trying to avoid this.

I will show pics of the parts as they are made

I made a mold for that. I've made a bunch of 'glass noses with the filler as one peice. I didn't bring the mold when I moved, and I don't know if I junked it. Figured I'd just make a new better mold from my nose one day.

Every car is a little different and a nose that fits mine will not fit yours perfectly. But if layed up decently thick on the edges they can usually be sanded/bondod to perfect. My foam filled, 'glass nose only weighs 6lbs. You're right on the weight saved, around 50lbs of iron/rubber gone.

If I were you, I'd get on making front spoilers. I also have a mold for a rear bumper and the grill divider too.
