mystery wires

I purchased a new engine harness for my 71, and while removing the old nasty wires. I found on the passanger side behind the head light these wires just hanging and they seem to go into the lighting harness, however the headlamps, turn sigs and side markers all have their pluggs attatched here is a pic of the image if anyone can help out.

well it would seem from looking at the diagram i may have found that the blue and white wires are for the alternator but i need to know which wire should be in what position.

Your car originally had an external regulator that was mounted by the horn relay. Those are the wires that were terminated there.
