Well Andy I got some bad news today!It seams my good buddy who claimed he knew how to set the valve lash correctly, basicly F-ed up. He over tightened my #7 exuaste valve & it ended up taking the lobe off my new cam
Man am I pissed ! Sh^t not only were the heads I bought in rough shape & in need of $$$ put into them but I assembled the top half of the motor twice. Now I have to do a compleate tear down becuase there is metal shavings in the oil & the machanic who I had look at the motor, wouldn't even let me drive the car back home the 2.5 miles. I had it flat bedded back home about an hour ago
Macanic recomended a compleate tear down,So basiclly I have to pull the motor & start from scratch
F-ing wonderfull...........& with limited funds available in my secret stash now looks like the 73 Z isn't going to see the road anytime soon.
Seams wierd how we both did similar prodjects & both had problems this sucks........
Got to love these damn cars.
