Shoulder belts for a 71?
My '71 has the stock lap belts, but it also has the plastic holders for shoulder belts above the side windows. I didn't notice that the shoulder belts were missing when I bought the car. Did the upper belts come standard on all 71's or was it an option? I don't think the lap belt buckle has the hole that the shoulder belts snap into. Does any body have any info?

All 71s had shoulder belts. You should have two female lap belt buckles.

That explains why there are two pockets on each side of the console! I was wondering what those were for. Thanks for the info 70rat. Does anybody make a reproduction belt. I don't recall seeing anything like that in Classic Ind. or Year one catalogs.

70rat, thanks for your help and info, is it Ok if I get back to you later on the belts? Definately interested. The budget is being spent on other stuff like bodywork! But in a couple months I'll look you up...If you still have them.
