Window guide felt

I'm at the point that I am now ready to do the inner window guides felt replacement. Can anybody tell me where to go...where to go and find replacement materiel. The 6 brackets are about 2" wide so I wouldn't need but a 12" to 15" of 1 1/2" to 2" wide material. I tried a fabric store to no avail was thinking maybe about a auto glass place. Thanks

I did mine many moons ago. At the time, there used to be a place called House of Fabrics (in Southern California). I simply got some felt and some foam padding and recovered the ones I had.

What I did was buy some Velcro in 1 1/2 wide, and used the "loop" side. It worked like a charm. Even has sticky stuff on one side so no gluing! Get the real velcro brand though, the imitators are not as thick, and the glue doesn't stick so well.

Velcro! What a great idea! It fits nice and secure and about the same padding as the original felt. I put them together tonight, I'll install them tomorrow. Thanks for the ideas. If the velcro doesn't last, I'll keep looking in the fabric stores or upolstry(sp) shops

I bought the window felt kit from NPD. It came with inner & outer felts for both doors, screws, staples, and guide felts, all for $70- which is a mere $10 more than I paid for only the outer felts on the 84.

I beat OSU76LT by $1.00 at Moementum just today. It's acutally a little less because we at 2GCOG get a 10% discount. I know I keep throwing his name out in about all my posts, but I haven't found anyone to beat his prices before the discount, and they really are good to deal with. I have a problem getting around thier website, but when I call them, they fix me right up.
