Dash Mat on a 78 dash

Anyone have a pic of a dash mat on a 78 dash. MY dash is an AC dash (I took out my ac) and i was thinking of just getting a non AC dash matt but im not sure if it would completely cover my ac vents. I dont want the vents visable if i can help it.

National Parts Depot carries a product called a Dash Cap. It slides over your exsisting dash and is glued in place(paint to match)It looks just like the original dash, just a thin shell. The do carry both A/C and non A/C caps for you year, you could go with the non A/C cap. I installed one on my '80 and I'm pleased with the results. Cost is around $70.00.

I have one on my A/C dash, think they only come down to the middle of the A/C vent. So I would think a non ac cover won't go any further.
I so somebody here had put guages in the vent, looked really good. As an alternative to covering it up.
