Vroom Vroom !!!! :D
Well I'm happy to report that we got the car fired up today
I must say it sound rather horney with open headers, err, open exhaust manifolds that is......
The dash is still not together with the new gauges but we did hook up a mechanical oil pressure gauge and it had ~30 PSI cranking so we fired it up
The car is coming along nice, obviously we still have to merge the existing exhaust into the manifolds and do the dash, throw the LS6 intake on it, hook up the A/C and put some subframe connectors on it.
The motor is out of a 98 Z/28 not a 99 Trans Am like I was led to believe when I got the motor off of E bay.
Stuff is kinda roughed in right now and needs to be cleaned up before I can get some new pics (want to make sure everything works vs having to rip stuff apart in case there are any issues).
I'll work on getting a video next week.
With my work schedule it will be two weeks before I can get back down there to dyno, unless I call in sick...caugh, caugh

Sweet! Can't wait for you to post up a good vid at idle then peeling out of site. You guys have been good motivation for me to get my project moving along. Last weekend I picked up a wrecked 98 firebird with a an LS1 and TH350. Not sure if I'll keep the TH350 though. Keep us updated!

Thanks
I've got some updated pics of the water pump that was modified.
We put some 90* AN fittings where the coolant tubes were that go to the heater core and drilled and tapped for an Auto Meter coolant temp sensor.

Congrats on getting it running. I know just how good that feels. It seems like it's all downhill once it comes alive.

Thanks, I saw your setup and it looks pretty sweet.
I managed to upload a video of it idling, not the greatest quality but at least you can hear it.
I'm still working on getting a better video but one thing at a time.

I can't watch the video at work, so someone let me know if it works OK.

Congratulations and good luck dude.
Glad to see another victorious LS1 retrofit.
Hopefully I will have mine completed and running like a raped ape soon.

Thanks guys
I called down to the shop and left a message asking where my vroom vroom video was and told him to feel free to go out in the parking lot and do a smokeshow We'll see what happens.....
Tentative plans are to dyno and do some simulated 1/4 mile passes on April 7 so stay tuned for that
Stock LS1 w/ Comp cams cam / LS6 intake / stock exhaust manifolds / 4L60E w/ Vigilante TC / true dual exhaust (not sure if he's going to X pipe it or not, I've given free latitude to do what he feels like doing) and of course the PCM will be tuned.
Guesses on HP and what it will do in the 1/4?
It was within a tenth and one mph when we did my old school sbc and a guy that bracket races his car (10 flat) has also run within a tenth of what the dyno says
It ran 13.7 @ 98 on motor (dyno said 13.6 @ 99 and it made 217 rwhp) and also ran 12.7 @ 107 (or 108 can't recall exactly) on a 100 shot (283 RWHP).

Dynoing has been put on hold while all the other stuff is buttoned up.
I'm officially on "Two weeks" status....aka every time anyone asks when it will be done you say "Two weeks"
The pain in the ass part is that I want to be there when the car gets dyno'd and it's tough to get down there.

I'm not sure how much a duel exhaust will help on power but i can tell you a stock ls1 with ls6 intake in my 01 ss made 310 hp and 330 tq but that was through a stock exhaust im sure you should be pulling 320-325 with yours. i cant wait to see the vid.

Thanks, was that with a stick or an auto?
I had a 98 Z/28 A4 stock and it made 287 RWHP w/ 105K on the motor, my friend also had a 98 Z A4 and his made 291 RWHP so I've got a good baseline for power.
The numbers I get when we dyno will be less as a Mustang dyno gives a lower number than a dynojet but of course I will make it to a dynojet to get some more comparitive numbers
