70-77 Covans Cluster?

Has anyone installed bigger tach and speedo in one of there panels than what they offer already installed. If someone has done this and it will work I will order a blank panel and cut the holes my self, but at the price of their panels I really dont want to hack one to find out it doesnt work.

are you replacing your dash pad .if you are the metal that is place of the cluster works fine to if you paint it

A new dash pad comes with that whole area filled in? Man that has to be a PIA to trim that all out of there to fit a regular cluster to.

when i ordered my dash from classic it basically came with a peice of metal that looked like the dash bezel screwed into place. Im guessing so the dash doesnt flop around.

I thought the same thing about using the metal but there were gaps between it and the dash pad.

thats what i did .the whole piece was open
