Chrome Shifter Ball N.O.S. vs Repop

Someone just paid $86 for NOS chrome shifter ball on EBAY......Is the reproduction (What vendors is considered the BEST?) inferior/wrong in any way???? Is there a "noticeable" judgeable difference to MOST peoples eye??
