YEA Tell me. I'm sure Marv is tired of hearing me whine about trying to piece my POJ back together for the rest of this season. I dont have the coin to spend on building the big motor now, so........... Im trying to piece a POJ together for the rest of the year. I think its time to stop whining & just get busy. LOL.

Hey Carm you may be forced to go with a 5.7 rod so you can get pistons with some compression height, allowing rings to be lower, dishes to be deeper, and lids to be thicker. I hope all goes well, and don't forget to wear iron shorts on your first pass, to protect your seat during the pass and then to protect your arse when they BOOT you off the track LOL.
Best of luck!

LOL Rust.
Actually i talked to both Diamond & JE so far.....they said the long rod in the 9.0" deck would still be ok, they can build me a piston to suit my needs.
Now i just have to decide on who will be doing it

Spend some time scoping out those in the know to find the best piston designer/manufacturer for your slugs. There are a couple of guys over at www.yellowbullet.com that are hardcore in the fastest street car scene whou would happily recommend, and could help you out with ring choice as well. IMHO, a thermal barrier coating and a skirt coating should be "must have's" on your order sheet.
