Bottom Bucket Seat Spring Wire

Where do you get the bottom seat spring wire for the bucket seats on a 79 Z28 ? Hardware Store or do they make them as a kit ?

You can buy the springs from a furniture place that a few of us have used. I have a link and part number but Im on my ipad at the moment. It wasn't expensive at all... Its a wholesale furniture place.

No one repops the springs that Im aware of, and I looked for a long, long time.

Here's the droid you are looking for.... (rear seat spring)

ZigZag Upholstery Springs - $1.99 each (You need 8; 4 per seat)

Available from DIY Upholstery.
Part number SIN20
Link

As I mentioned, you will need to bend the springs into the angle that the seat needs for tension. I have some pictures of mine, somewhere.

This isnt the best shot, but it's all I have for now. You can see the bends in the spring here. You do NOT want to leave the springs "flat." I still have my originals if you need me to measure where to begin the bend. (I painted mine flat black.)

Those are for the Front seats. I assumed he was referring to the rears - the front springs are pretty easy to track down. Or actually, I guess I should say, they were, I haven't looked in a long time.

I'll check my Parts Sheet here in a bit. I remember making notes about this and identifying part numbers back when I planned to stay with the stock seats.

Here is a shot of Pete's product. Not sure why he has it de-listed now. That video was just posted a few months ago. I just shot him an email - maybe he is waiting on a new batch or something.
