Borg Warner super T10 Id info

I have IDd some of the tranny case codes but need some help ("learnee") . I can't upload photos because of site size limits - will try later.

1304-065-903 on case housing - somehow this tells me it is a BW Super T10, 903 means aluminum case series. This is followed with W.G Div FpC (might be 0)3. I know it is 4-spd.
Date is 5.31.79 - 1 (not sure what the -1 means).
With the date is ML T1198 - I have no idea what this means.
Stamped elsewhere is WG 992 - W= Warner Div, G=7 (July), 9=day of mth, 9=1979, 2 = shift

Tranny's installed - not original - so having hard time seeing tail tag or other codes, or splines to count as I want to know gear ratio.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

On your input shaft, count the Grooves, that will tell us what gears are inside originally came with, post some pics, use photobucket to upload them

Here is an example of what the groves look like on the input shaft

Chris - Thanks for the quick response. Guessing I have to pull it to count splines, and not quite ready for that (garage's not heated - yet). Was hoping for coding that lists original gearing. Haven't found partial ViN yet, as that might do it.

Thanks again. calv

because of it being an 1979 case and its aluminum case, I'm going to say your first gear is probably a 2.64, but to know for sure either pull the side cover and count the teeth on 4th gear (input shaft gear) or pull the tranny out and count the Grooves on the input shaft

generally the camaro and firebird will have the partial vin stamped on the pass side flat pad towards the top of that side . corvette Warner's stamped the vin some years on the same pad area as the Warner build date you found on the drivers side of the case. some of this may vary per model years, but these locations I seen on cars I have owned over the years.

Chris - I'm figuring 2.64 or 2.88 given what I've found. I'll try pulling the cover and counting. Thanks. Any ideas on the "ML T1198 A" forged code?

Cal

Z28PILOT - I can't see numbers on the passenger side flat pad. There was a "ML T1198 A" stamped with the build date. I'll run that and if it's a ViN.
Thanks
