What After Market BBC Intake can I use with Stock Hood 1970 Camaro SS L34

Hi I am new to this form and need some help. I want to install a aftermarket dual plane intake on my 70 396 and use a Holley 780. I also want to keep the stock hood. Any idea of what type of intake and breather combo I will need to make this work would be appreciated.

I use a Factory 427 / 350HP aluminum intake and the factory dual snorkle case. NOT much room there. I've seen the Eddy Performer on a big block but you must use the drop-base cleaner. A Performer Air GAp or RPM won't clear. An older Eddy Torker single plane will also work. Still a good manifold after all these years.

Your options are really limited, I have a BB in my Camaro with a Edelbrock RPM and I have a 2" cowl hood and I still have to use a drop down base for my air filter, There is no way I could fit a stock hood on my car.

BB 73, I was looking at the Torker 2 how much drop do you have in your breather base? An 2" element seems awful small.

A 2" filter is way too small, At higher rpm you need at least a 4 inch filter, Which you will never get under a stock hood.

Fitting a Big Block under a flat hood isn't about high rpm's and max horse power.

I like the stock look over a hood scoop and the stealth .

My hood closes with the 3" filter but no lid.I haven't had the time to experiment with the lid,I haven't bought a 2" filter and will only do so after trying all option's.

I think I have a Torker II on mine as well. No prob closing the stock hood on a regular drop-base cleaner.

FWIW, I used the correct BB mounts on the frame and engine side.
