Search for the thread where someone modded the mounting hardware and tucked it into the body and painted it body color.

looked MUCH better.

2 reasons the 74-77 camaros were the least popular of the 2nd gens.....the front bumper, and the rear bumper.

A few years ago Popular Hotroding did several issues on a 1976 Camaro project G/28.

http://www.popularhotrodding.com/tec.../photo_01.html

They modified and painted the bumpers totally changing the look of the car, for the better.

Lets see some pictures man.
I have a 79 and I gotta say embrace the shiny.Remember those are the last ones to have shiny bumpers.
Have it chromed and polish to a "mirror in the sun" brightness.
Seriously though another thing to do would be to tuck it. Cut 1/2 -3/4 inch off of it where it wraps around the body to get that tighter look. Dress your welds and have it chromed or painted the color of the car.

You can sell it to me for cheap and I'll add it to my collection. There's nothing like a "big bumper" Camaro!
