Bill, I wont be attending this event.................

but would entertain your comments about JOURNEY, Pat Benetar at the GORGE...where Ive never been before ???? Might it be worth the hassle of
the drive etc etc

I'm also going to see the ABBA tribute band (ARRIVAL) again when they return to the Snoqulamie Casino and Ronnie Dunn (Brooks & Dunn) later this month at the Emerald Queen Casino.

I would definitely go to the Gorge. It is beautiful there, especially in the evening when the sun sets.

It is quite a walk though. I'm not sure how the concert that your wanting to attend is going to be setup, but when there are many bands playing usually the second stage is down at the bottom of the entrance and the main stage is at the bottom of the hill over looking the Columbia.

I went to Ozzfest there and also Dave Matthews. I had backstage passes to Dave Matthews and got to talk to him for a short while. Dave told me that since he lives in Seattle that he comes to the Gorge when hes not touring just to get away from things. He said he likes the view and its one of the most beautiful and tranquil places hes ever been. He also told me that sometimes he will just sit for hours and look over the river basin at sunset because it is just so quite and peaceful there. Said he likes to sit there and write songs.

Also if you look at Wikipedia it says the capacity is only 23,000? Dont let that fool you When I went to Ozzfest in 2000 there were over 75000 people there.

Also it was about 100 degrees there in August so keep that in mind. Definitely bring some cover. And like any venue food and drink are overpriced so you might want to bring some snacks and drinks.

No, and I've never been to either venue. Pat Benetar would be fun, I sing some of her songs. ABBA, seriously Chuck? LOL. Just not picturing Chuck as an ABBA fan! heheheh

You guys need to come up to our house for the Annual Show N Shine and after party!!! August 4!!!!

Fawn, You know Im an ole fart........and was very single (still am) during the disco era. ABBA was one of the top selling bands in the world (320 million albums). I liked there music back in the day and the tribute band ARRIVAL (also from SWEDEN) knocks off their music better than anyone else.
Ive seen them three times at the SOLD OUT Snoqualmie Casino.

I was/am thinking about driving my Red 70' up to Granite Falls. I'm not much of a drinker and wont want to be around when some of your guests get all liquored up. Been there, done that (and more) back in my younger days.

I trust all is well with your "baby"

Regards to all

Without looking at a map isn't Granite Falls sort of NE'ish of Seattle? Can't say I have ever traveled up that way.

If I could get the rest of this damn Pneumonia off my chest I would certainly come up. I feel better than what I did in the hospital and doing iv infusions 2x a day but my chest still feels like a popcorn machine lol

Makes it hard to get stuff done too on this POS Camaro of mine. Id like to say that my car and I have a love/hate relationship. She loves to give me problems and I hate fixing them.
