2012 All Camaro & Chevy weekend July 7th & 8th

ON July 7th the All Camaro & Chevy weekend kicks off with a Rally Q (thats a Rally with a BBQ at the end) that starts at Issaquah Chevrolet at 9am (first car out) & ending at Sunset Chevrolet.
This event is free with a couple intresting pit stops in the middle of the event. Now you can go out on your own or you can compete against others as a group. ITS UP to you.
Dont want to drive your show car because you want to keep it clean, dont fear you can show up in Any Chevrolet product.

July 8th finishes off the weekend with the All Camaro & chevy show, at the Triple XXX drive in. its a fun time with cool cars & even better food.

In the years past we have had over 170 cars show & even had to turn cars away because of no spots to park. we will allow NON club members in after 7am but if you want help out to move things along faster, feel free to show up a few mins early BUT make sure you help out.

heres the entry forum. http://www.pnwcc.com/2012ACSentry.pdf

Well wasn't sure if I was going to go as I also wanted to get my front end done (last of it for removal). Ended up going but got there towards end and saw some. Was glad I did and next year plan to be early. Wow...it was fun and awesome. I am a second gen guy through and through, but man, that black '69 w/ the twin turbo 572 was freakin awesome....

I also attended. I particular thought there were some very nice 1st gen Camaros displayed. I also enjoyed Perry Williams pro-touring 70 Z with Pro Charged 427 small block. Saw a 2012 ZL-1 Camaro and ZR-1 Corvette.

I STILL maintain that the overall CAMARO turnout for a annual Pacific Northwest Camaro is poor. I do not know what prevents more Camaro owners from attending.

Probably need a larger venue with dedicated CAMARO parking. (this was heard from Camaro owners in attendance)
How well is this show promoted throughout the Northwest via Craigslist and social media???

Sincerely, Chuck

craigslist it is not allowed in the car section where people would look for it. as for social media very well.
there were also Like normal alot of other car shows going on. part of our normal group decided to go to the return to renton show because it was something new.

as for bigger venue it was talked about at this years meetings on the show. We like were we are at. most of our active members were there.

I heard no complains, we saw a larger section of 3rd gens & a larger section of 2nd gens this year.

I hear all Positive everyone that I heard said it was the best show we have put on in years.

Chuck you tend to hear negative about everything about PNWCC because thats what you want to hear.

Iroczlover, (why can you not at least be courteous enough to use your first name)

You are entitled your comments and opinions as am I. Curious how few Camaro enthusiasts in the Northwest actually will read this thread....(cant be many).

I am a Seattle native. Ive been attending car shows (ALL over the country) and swap meets my entire adult life.

Not my intent to be negative about PNWCC events, however I will offer my realistic unpopular comments.

Curious what made the 2012 show the best in years other than the weather and the subsequent turn out. What features/attractions/personalities/special appearances made this years show better than previous years....other than the weather and a couple of handfuls of very nice CAMAROS.

I would like to see an ALL classic CAMARO (possibly F-body/Firebird) show.
A CAMARO show that has participation from the Columbia River to British Columbia and from Boise, ID to the Pacific Ocean.

I would like to see a show that all clasic CAMARO owners want to attend, look forward to attend. possibly using a motel/hotel as a venue.

I'm also a big proponent of charging an admission fee to spectators. Ive never understood why the participants in the show should be the only
ones paying $$$ when they provide THE SHOW...and the spectators who enjoy viewing the show enter for FREE.
What other business model operates this way.

This is why a gated, fenced venue like Bellevue College (just an example) was perhaps a better site where the spectator revenue off set the expense of renting the site.

On the other hand I can understand the popularity of the XXX (with its expensive fattening food) offering what I'm thinking is a free venue.

I understand that few if any agree with my ideas and values....

None the less I sincerely submit this reply,

Chuck Sharin

Then you put it on, if you think you can do it, have fun.

By the way We have TALKED to not only our own club members but other clubs in the local area & other Camaro owners & you know what they all say the same thing. Maybe something for the 50th anniv of the camaro. Which is in the works. All Camaro all generations. do you know that yesterday there were 189 cars there, all Generation of camaros were well showed. members from CRCC, Inland camaro club, pnwcc, & camaros unlimited were all there. (plus members of cascade crew & a few of the smaller unknown clubs)

The cost of BCC went through the roof & our take for our sponsors would not of happen. plus the insurance. we are here to Make money for CHILDRENS HOSPITAL & LEO NOT to put money in our own pocket. Oh we could raise the price of the entry fee to $50 a car but who would come to it NO ONE.

Do you know that I myself over the last 13yrs with PNWCC have put on ALL Camaro shows. Heck I have even thrown in the firebirds to have a Fbody show. 20 camaros show up & even less firebirds. I have had it at free places Heck I have even thrown in Up to $200 cash for winners. even then it was 50 cars. Well advertised at car shows far & wide with all the clubs & on line.

Most of the people I know, would not pay for going to the show & have friends show up only for them to pay the same amount unless its to see something special like SOVERN but even then its $25 a day for car & driver & $25 per person in the car. when you have 4 to 10 people in the car its expensive & not all people have that kind of money. thats why the cost is so low.

But Chuck its not just the all Camaro & Chevy show, Its the swap meet you are not happy with. You are not happy with alot of events in this area. you freely come on here & express your disappointment.
Not only am I tired of it. I know a few people are too.

Cheer up there are other events out there for you to have fun with in other locations.

OH each year there is a ALL Camaro event that travels the states. It may come here or not. Mainly its the new camaros. Last year it was in AZ at firebird raceways. This year its in INDY. BUT they dont want to come to washington because of the weather they said they may go to calif but not the PNW.

I don't envy the people who have to plan these events. PNW is an odd and fickle area socially. People generally seem to not be interested in social events, they aren't likely to help out in planning, and for ANY social event, you get far less actual attendance percentage of your RSVP's. For instance, in San Diego you could expect half your "yes" I will attends to show up, here it's even less. I've NEVER had much luck getting PNW people from NastyZ together for much of a turn out. I offer my home every year for BBQ's, but few attend. They're just not interested. The few that do are really great, s uper nice, and really fun folks! We've met some really good friends when people take the chance and come meet us. I think people are just more "keep to themselves" here, not likely to go meet "strangers". I've NEVER even had ANY of my PNW neighbors come meet me and talk to me in the neighborhoods I've lived in. Back home you'd always get at least a few friendly welcoming people. It's just a different culture here. So with this culture it's definitely going to be impossible to please the majority.

I understand Chuck's points, but I think that if someone feels that strongly about how things should be, then they should step up and help out, get involved! Everyone wants to give their opinions but few actually want to do the work. Just sayin'.

We're trying to pull some folks together for Vegas now, NastyZ folks. Response is sporadic, negativity and complaints included. The few that go will have a great time though, and maybe more will go next time. You just can't take it personal when you are the organizer when people are unhappy, because someone is always going to complain (even if they would NEVER had attended anyhow!) LOL!

So while I am sometimes disappointed in the Annual "Camaro" show, simply because I wish we had an ALL CAMARO show still, I understand it's a difficult thing to put together and I'm not able to get involved to help, so I just put up and shut up!

one of the local camaro clubs is hoping to do a 50th anniv. All Camaro show. & I have been working with the Camaro5 guys to get the Camaro5 fest over here, but they are not likely to come this far, due to the weather & its to far for everyone, heck its in INDY this year & we are complaining that its to far east lol

I totally agree! I stopped taking my Camaro to shows because I refuse to pay money just to show my car. The people with the cars make up the show and we're suppose to pay??? Especially after all the money we already put into our cars?

It's much like taxes. It's the hardest working people that end up paying the most taxes.....it's ridiculous. We worked hard on our cars, and the show planners expect us to pay to fill up one of their parking places.

It doesn't make sense. I'd be happy to show any interested person my Camaro, but I sure won't pay money to do it.

Need to see both. I think your car is real, but until I actually meet you or see photographic evidence of you, I'm not sure that you're real
