1970 Camaro SS 396 L-34 for sale.

I am close to buying a 1970 SS 396 L-34 camaro, but would like some opinions on buying the car from a dealer who sells on line and I think also from the showroom too. The name is East coast classic cars in Lillington North carolina. Lin Cummings is his name. The car is owned by Chris collier who is a member of Nasty Z-28. Also when I went back into last years e-mails I discovered that chris had sent me pictures of his camaro to help with some info I needed. He sent pictures of the engine code stamped on pad behind the alternator the VIN on the pad above the oil filter the rear and trans also so I know that car is correct and I received several videos of the car. My main concern is I cannot go their to pickup the car, so I would be wiring the money to him. I am sure he is honest, but would any of you do this. If he did not send the car and title what would my options be.
Thank you.

If it were me I would find a way to do the transaction in person, You can't be that far from the car.
I just have this thing about buying something I can't check out.
Bill

I just looked at the car, 30K is the price tag, Heck that is a lot of money, No way I would send that kind of money.

I would never do a transaction like that.He could send you a different car thats been in the videos and pics.
Have you googled their name yet?To find out if anyone else has had issues with him?
I would take the time to go there in person and make the transaction.Hook up with a transporter, and meet the car home.

I had a buddy that bought a 68 SS 427 Impala. The guy sent him videos and pics. HE GOT BURNED!! The car was junk. Vidieo and pics can be takin very selectivly to hide a whole bunch of stuff they don't want you to see. If I can't see it in person, I would'nt buy it ! J.M.O.

john did you send a appraiser out to do a report for you... if not i would start looking for a reputable person in that area. he should be able document everything valid about your car and also put a fair market value.

and if the news comes back good, then schedule a visit to close the deal. If you walk you lost $500 for travel and $200 for appraisal. A lot better than getting burned on a $30K car.

BTW, I have a very nice numbers matching 70 L34 4spd that I paid $23K for at the peak of prices a couple years back. $30K should be a clear #1 car
