Just put the carb on and fired up the engine. Fuels is coming out the back air horn like a geyser. I tried adjusting it with the wrench and flathead but it just got worse. is there a way to adjust this or am I goi.g to have to open up that side of the fuel bowl. its a 650 dp

Sounds like there's trash in the needle/seat, holding it open.

try tapping the fuel bowl with the soft end of a screwdriver a few times to see if you can jar the needle closed. Best bet is to pull that needle out and see if its shot or has something stuck in it.

Did you ever turn the carb upside down before installing it? It's possible that the float may have moved far enough to jam the needle while inverted. As suggested, try tapping on it. Either way, you will have to pull it apart and check.
It could also be too much fuel pressure.

Float is stuck to the bottom. Remove the sight plug and use some thing small through the hole to lift the float., then adjust float and don't run it dry until you check out the bowl/float off the car. Some times they just stick to the floor.
