Flat Mount Fender Extractors:

Been experiencing a lot of front end lift above 130 mph in my 1975 Formula. I plan on addressing this in two ways:

First, with a front spoiler, probably hand made from aluminum, since I do not want to have to use the TA flares. Any other front spoiler options are welcome.

Second, I want to vent the front fenders, in the TA location, but use a vent that will mount flat. I thought about using a carbon fiber flush-mount fender intake, like we use on Supra's, but the opening isn't large enough. I may need to fab these too.

Input is appreciated....Robert

130mph! I'm going to be having the same problems. Need a big front air dam to keep air from going underneath the car. I've heard from racers that say to put side skirts on it as well. Another trick is to raise the rear of the hood so there is a place for air to escape. You can also cover the upper grill area to prevent more air than you need from getting in there as the lower opening should be enough. Sweet car, looks almost exactly as my mine.

Yeah that is amazingly fast to be driving, I'm going to assume this is on a track. PS, You definitely win the award for highest profile 15" front tires ever

This is pretty cool. How many other guys on this or any other forum have problems while driving at 130?

You also need to address the issue with the rear spoiler. You are going to need to flatten it out more to reduce down force on the rear which will keep the front end from being pulled up at high speeds

Take a look at the Buick GNX fender vents. They flush mount, might even look good.
