Question CS130 alternator and voltage gauge??

I want to change to a CS 130 alternator.

I have no idiot light on my 79 Camaro but a Voltage gauge.

Do I still need a 35-300 Ohm resistor in the brown wire?

Thanks and greetings,

Erik.

It's my understanding that yes, a resistor must be in series with the L wire. As you mentioned anything above 35 Ohms, but less than 800 ohms. A 500 ohm 1 watt resistor works and is easy to find.
