Pete's 1981 Convertible Z28 Build Thread
Ok Guys time to make this one thread and show some work and progress for you all on this car.
My biggest gripe on the car were a few thing:
1. It had red interior, and we did the red decals which once on the car I hated.
2. It had some floor issues.
I got the car home Friday from a clean up on paint and body and a new decal kit and now I will focus on the interior (Going silver or black and adding some Y/O 17 N-90s to the mix.
So here we go:
Starting point.
9/2011
11/2011 --- Pigeon Forge Grand Rod Run (After Adding the decal kit in red)

I knew the floors had some rust but NEVER expected this!
So we called Ken for Hotlanta and he came and got her for some TLC
He got right to it and we now have great floors!

So next up on the docket is where the car meets the road! The rims are not to my taste and I figured the N-90s would look good, the 17 inch N-90s would look better!
That is where I am at right now. Will add some rubber to the rims and then tackle the interior.
Other things still to come, new badges, new OER tail lamps, and nose tus signals.
Last thing to complete will be a new bonnet and some work on the top to get it back up to snuff.

Silver stripes definitely look better than the red on that car

Yup!! I plan on putting that on my SIlver 1980. Does your kit come with the "Air Induction" decals and hood decal too?

Your convertible is looking much better! Nice job!
I'm doing research on convertible 2nd gen Camaros. Is that an NCE Camaro conversion?

Pete,
Good work on the car so far. It looks alot better with the silver/grey stripes over the red, good choice.
The N90's will be a nice change too to make it look more factory.
