Drivers tire not centered...leaf spring help

Double check that you have the leaf spring pin in the alignment hole of the lower plate.

I accidentally had one misaligned when I redid my leaf springs a few years ago.
I noticed it when I tightened the nuts on the u-bolt (beneath the lower plate)and it seemed to bow more than the other side before it got tight.
The pin wasn't in the hole!

I took off the plate and had a local machine shop use a press to get it flat again.
I was much more careful the second time I assembled it.

I should mention that I have a 1" block and spacers in my set-up too...nit sure if that makes a difference.

I got out and installed my sway bar today, while I was at it I double checked my leaf spring. I ended up putting in new u bolts and after everything was tightened up my drivers side is 1/4" more forward than the passenger.

I don't think the car was ever in a major wreck or had the quarter replaced

If anything i might be able to take the spring pocket on the drivers side and notch the area where the clips slide into the body and the bolts attach.

I think it will be ok as is, I hope I'm not being too anal about it??
