70 L34 What's it worth?

Well I'm thinking of selling my L34 to start another car project. I finished the restoration last fall and the car runs and drives perfect. It also has been repainted back to the original Camaro Gold and the car has the original born with trans, engine, rear and about 85% other parts. I tried to keep the car as close to original as I possibly could. The only things that are not "right" on my car is the headers, ignitor III HEI, the USA radio and speakers. I'm into the car for about $23K and have no need to sell right now just wondering if there is some room in the market to make some money and start on another.

I would think that it is at least worth 30K. Original big block second gens are pretty rare, and at the top of that pile is the 1970 L78 with the L 34 cars just a step below.

Not sure how much it's worth but it's a beautiful car!! Love the original rally wheels.

There's a similar car on eBay right now. It's been there for a few months and the BIN price is $29,900.

No ID plate, engine, or rear end photos documenting the claims of authenticity, however.

I'd say prob 30k as well. But I was asking and asking everyone the same question years ago about one of my rides. An older guy (20+ years older than me anyway) overheard me one day and he butted in and said " son, it's only worth what someone will pay" I thought, what an a hol ! But now that I'm 20 years older I figured out he was right good luck !

Try Hagerty website under valuation tools, valuation is their business and they track a lot of actual sales for their numbers.
It has you car as I read you description between $25K and $30K.

You have it on eBay!

I wish all eBay ads were like this one. Nice job. Looks like a bargain.

Please remove the caution fan sticker off the fan shroud. They were never installed on these cars.
Nice car otherwise.

Bump - eBay ad.

This is my favorite look for these cars. No stripes, no RS nose, and the correct factory rally wheels.

There is a Mecum auction in Houston in a couple weeks. You might try to sell it there? I know the seller premium is a pain but I bet a clean car like this would be very interesting. There are not so many cars and most are not numbers collector stuff. I would think you might get high $20K's for it or maybe even $30K. With seller fees and transportation to Houston you could still walk away with $25K and maybe enjoy the auction while you are there.

The market is sooooft. @nd gens were just starting to get some attention when things tanked. The 2nd Gen is also the only car where the BB sells for less than the far more common small block cars do. Go figure. The L34 on *BAY has deluxe interior,AC, and the RS package and has been stalled for 6 mos at $29,900. So hate to say, I think in this market, $23-25 and it's still going to sit for a while. As a fellow BB owner...it kills me, too.

Both these cars are missing a pedal and I think that's the main reason for the no-sales here.
