Going a different route with my setup
Figured I would post in here since I'm located in Decatur, AL. Parts are still on the car.
Basically getting rid of my entire top end. I need to drop compression for my next setup.
Dart Iron Eagle Platinum Heads
Manly Pro racing valves in 2.02 and 1.6
PSI 1.446 double springs with 1.9 install height specifically setup for the cam specs
64cc combustion chamber, 215cc Runner, port matched to the intake - $950
Crower 66200-16 mechanical roller lifters -- $200
Comp Cams 274XE 12-770-8 mechanical roller (.603/.610 with 236/242 duration at .050 with the 1.8rr) -- $150
Weiand 1805 Stealth Air Gap intake (Flows tons better than an Edelbrock Air Gap) --$150
ARP guideplates (May keep these, depends)
ARP 7/16th studs (May keep these, depends)
Comp Ultra Pro Magnum 1.7 roller rockers (May keep these, depends)
Comp High Tech 7.8 pushrods (May keep these, depends)
All machine work done by Steve Ashworth Performance in Fuquay Varina, NC. Extremely good quality work.
5 angle valve job
Valve bores knocked open and smoothed from excess metal.
Decked to insure flatness
Machine work, springs, valves, retainers, locks, valve spring stablizers ran above $2000 easy. Rest of the hardware ran another 2k.
With this combo and a -4cc valve relief flat top piston on standard stroke and standard rod ran just at 11:1 compression ratio.
A number of people on this board know about what went into these heads (and engine) and could vouch for the quality. I easily can turn up to 7500 without the valvetrain missing a beat.
I'm interested in a set of SBC heads in around 70+ combustion chamber with around a 200 runner. If they are vortec intake bolt pattern that would be even extra awesome.
If you have any questions just hit me up.
You can see pics in my Fquick in my sig.
