There are 4 wires in the plug on the later CS alternators , S, F , L , and P , as well as an output stud on the rear of the alternator.
S wire from the plug should go to the stud on the back of the alternator and then with a dedicated wire go from the same stud to the positive of the battery.
The newer alternators have higher output and the factory charge wire is generally not up to the task of making it back to the battery without susbstantial voltage drop. As was said you can cap this off in the loom and not use it.
F terminal will not be used
L will tie into the factory excite wire , usually Brown and was the smaller of the two in the plug on the original alternator.
P will not be used.
