Reproducing Old School Lakewood Style 3-Point Roll Bar Sneak Peak

Weekend Warriors Fab Shop is proud to reproduce this roll bar for that "old shool look".This particular roll bar was built from scrap pieces of tubing just as a mock-up/template for a 1969 camaro. The production roll bar's main hoop will be one piece with the back bar and feet bolted to the main bar. That was how the original lakewood roll bars were done. We Can also make them to weld in instead of bolt in. I will be making them for other cars soon to order. The first one's will be for the 1967-1969 camaro's/firebirds, 1970-1981 camaro's/firebirds, 1955-1957 chevy's. Chevelle's,nova's,mustang's,willys, ect will fallow. If you have any other make and model that you would like to have one built for you can contact me and i will build it.This will be a first come first serve basis. Chuck (muscleCar) will be getting the first one built for his bad @$$ old school camaro.I know everyone wants to know the cost, all i can tell you is i will definitely be beating that other company's price. Enough talk for now lets get to the pics!!!

The first 68 went 6 times end over and and 12 barrel rolls and landed back on all 4. It was due to the left rear slick crinkling going down the strip. It was a weekend after he added the bolt in 3 point roll bar, Im not even sure if he had shoulder belts. Every car after this had a minimum of a lap belt, and the big block #2 (Blue car) got a roll bar as well. Blue cars out in the shop still if you need some more photos, that car hasnt raced since 82 or left the shop since 93.

Same car pre rollbar, paint job, and wreck. Would have been a slick machine in its day.

Not old enough to ever have seen these but is there a benefit versus a more traditional roll bar with a cross bar for the harness. Are these nhra legal?
Sorry I know nothing about drag racing.

Don't know if they are "legal" but from the pics of the 69 it seems the hoop is well over 2" away from the roofline.

Very nice work.
It'll fit right in with Chuck's theme for sure.
Don't know if they're legal today, but, as in KT's pics would in most cases keep the roof off your head.
I think I posted this old pic before, here's one in my car about 80 or 81, just barely see it.
The kids used to hang off it, standing up in the back.
BTW Chuck did you ever get those Lakewood bolt on ladder bars?
I think I may have a set, if your interested.
Don
