vinal wraps=the future?

i think vinal wraps are the future of cheap paint jobs. what do ya think. im gonna do it to my cars. after painting a few cars and seeing all the flaws after all the work, and sanding clears i am gonna wrap cars from now on asuming it lays down flat.seems pretty simple and easy to make perfect with enough time. plus its so cheap. 700$ for a perfect job, seems good to me.

Ya, a $700.00 wrap job is gonna make Maacos worst look good. Average good wrap job is $2500.00 plus.
Any bad scratches or imperfections under the wrap show up just as they would on a paint job. Prep is key! Even on wraps!

I just read an article in Popular Mechanics about a new paint that will be out in 1-2 years that when scratched will "heal" itself when exposed to the sun's UV rays. Now I would like to see that really work

Wookie...have you heard of that stuff?

Self healing paint is here.... Infiniti uses it already.

Wraps don't last very long, 6 months or so, maybe a year. So be prepared to have your car wrapped a bunch of times.

Look closely at fleet vans that are covered in wraps. 90% of them WILL develop bubbles that just get bigger and bigger.
