TH350 pump assembly hisses when

I apply compressed air to the intermediate clutch piston inlet port.

I've sprayed solvent over the lip seals of the piston and no air bubles formed. But some kind of hissing sound is heard and the piston is not holding and immediately seating back when I stop applying compressed air.

Any suggestions ? I don't think that is normal.
