I won't know for another 8 hours or so. What sucks is that I can't pick it up from the BX that is literally across the street.
IGN completely ripped it apart.
Kotaku, Gamesradar, and Gametrailers all gave it good reviews.
Gamespot hasn't posted their review yet.

Picked it up at lunch...Now all I gotta do is get home. F'n guy at Gamestop gave me attitude though. I've decided Gamestop will no longer get my money.
I go in and ask for the game and he says "Did you preorder it."
"No."
He says "Well I guess you should have preordered it huh? I can't sell it to anyone who didn't preorder it. Maybe you should think about that the next time."
So I said "Go EFF yourself. Why the hell would I give you my cash in advance when I can go to any Wal Mart or Target and pick it up without a hassle. You should rethink your attitude, because I will NEVER purchase another game from Gamestop," threw my edgecard, and walked out.

I used to be a manager at Gamestop when I was a kid. I've always supported Gamestop, even getting their edge card when I didn't really buy anything. The last few times I've been in there, they've been really pushy. I used to like going to Gamestop...You could stand there and BS with the employees about a common interest without the sales and rhetoric. Now, if they engage you in a conversation, they have to mention that you should preorder and suggest you trade in your old games. It's gotten really old. I used to go for the personal and catered service, but now I'd rather go to Wal Mart or Target where I'm not going to get hassled. With a complete market shift to digital distribution in the works, I only give Gamestop another 10 years anyway...MAX.

Last Christmas when we were looking for a couple of DS's for the kids we ran the gambit of sales people. Some rude as hell some very helpful. Like always it depends on the store. Now we know which ones to go to and which ones to avoid through out the greater Phoenix area.

Post your review...my son preordered it from Gamestop, and thought it would be here when I got home, but I live out in BFE, so I guess it won't be here till tomorrow. It's cool tho, I'll keep playin CoD MW2 till it gets here.
I will say, my son also preordered Halo Reach for me, it got here on the day it was released by UPS...versus USPS for MoH. Halo came from Amazon, don't think that would have any bearing tho.

It's not innovative, but it feels...Solid...real...Something. i really like it. Despite the limited multiplayer options, I also like the MP better than MW2.

I will tell you that their policy is that when they talk to you they are REQUIRED to try to get you to preorder something, and they are required to remind you that you can trade in your old games.

Hmmm... I believe you, as you said you worked there.. but the fellas at my store must suck at reminding me to preorder... and as for trading in oldies... if they are, they're slick about it... but I usually ask

the game isnt as good as i expected. sometimes the graphics are like WOW but most of the time its just so so. i did like the sniping parts cause you can blow someones entire head off but after a bit that gets old too. if you like FPS its worth getting to kill some time before COD comes out
