I bolted mine on straight from the box and it ran fine, only needed a small adjustment to the idle screws.

The Street Avenger carbs are wet flow tested and set at the factory. The settings are very close to what you need right out of the box. Bolt it on and fire it up. Do the initial breakin and then fine tune the carb after that.

You probably could of gotten away with something a little smaller, but that 670 will still be a nice carb for that engine.

Bolt it on and go... Like said, they're pretty much set out of the box. Buddy of mine has ran one on a 383 in his 'vette for 5 years The idle is a bit high with choke engaged but he refuses to touch it.

Idle screws 1.25 turns out and tune from there with a vacuum gauge

They are set up baseline but it wont hurt to verify settings

Sounds like a good carb selection but tranny and gearing are also important factors as well

Most of these carbs do not need a lot of adjusting on them if you have the correct carb for your motor.

X5 on above mentioned. Bolt on and go. I swapped out the spring on mine to make the secondaries open quicker and that was it. Its a good carb butI prefer Demon.

If thats the case I prob would have gone with a 650 DP - vacuum carbs are great on automatics

Get a book on Holleys and learn the basics - they are very easy to tune if you know the different circuits and how they overlap.

The 670 SA has 2 corner idle - it will only have idle screws on the primary side. Lightly seat each one and count the turns. They should be the same and around 1-1.25 turns out.

Thats a good baseline setting

Let us know how the vacuum carb works on a stick/3:73 car
