Many (Most) of the early Urethane cars suffer from Rot on the nose. My '78 turned to powder as I sanded it.

There is an aftermarket nose from the Paddock that fits perfectly and is a great piece for only ~$250.

I highly recommend this piece to anyone fixing up a '78->'81 Camaro.

Email me for pics.

SEM makes a urethane paint stripper in a spray can. It works pretty good. I used it to strip the paint off of my rear bumper cover.

Do a search in this topic. I posted the part number somewhere. I just don't remember it off of the top of my head. If you can't find the post let me know and I will find the part number.

Don't use regular paint stripper it will eat through your bumper cover.

The nose on my 79 was dry rotted and cracked. I but a new urethane nose frome performance products. they specalize in fiberglass hoods. the nose was only $175.00. You can check how much shipping will cost just call the toll free number at www.up22.com I also ordered a 31/2" cowl hood. They have great prices and a quality product.

Would the same hold true to remove old paint from a 70 RS urethane bumper?
