1979 Berlinetta Z28 Dress from Germany
So, after some asking by Blu-By-U 79Z and some other members I'll finally start a Project page.
Now that I'm a member for several years now
So nothing special to tell right now. But I think I just start with some pics I just made with my crappy walkman Cell phone (called Handy in Germany, so remember if you read it somewhere in my posting.)
Have phun looking and joking about my car and work, or especially my garage
See ya Folks
Julian

You've done a fine job of working on an old Camaro in Germany.
It has got to be a challenge when you can't go to the nearest auto parts store and get parts off the shelf like you can in the states.
Your garage looks like mine, whether I'm working on a project or not!

Yeah its quite challenging. But more in the ways of getting along with the people that dont like America or american Cars.
There are a lot of prejudice about your cars. But as you see my Daily is an Olds Alero that keeps me good company for a lot of miles and years now.
Thanks to the Internet its got quite easy to get parts and especially help from people (like you guys) that know what their doing.
But sometimes its quite annoying cause you just cant buy a small part (screws or spark plug) you always have to get some stuff together and make a big buy in the US, so transport and custom costs are in line with the parts costs.

That is awesome. I have nothing against German cars. They are fantastic. My wife drives a new BMW X5. But I am Chevy man.
Keep the stories coming about your project.

FALLOUTBOY!!!!!!
1st gotta say im glad i kept on ya to get you to make a project thread.
2nd HOT DAMN that car looks good! Body looks great on that thing. Motor looks to be pretty decent in itself. That garage looks nicer than mine. I have gravel floors and an old pole barn thats had some work done inside. Its not about how your garage looks... its how you work in it! lol Thanks for posting its cool to see what your working on across the pond.

Hi Danish Guy.
Never recognized you in here. Its a shame that I live in the deep south of Germany.
@Blu-By
I am glad, also
If seen the pics of you working on your sleeper. I am really impressed about what kind of quality work you deliver
So right now I'm creating a account on Fquick to get u all some pics served.
So perhaps I should tell you something about the car. Anything of special interest?
Engine is a Gen I 350cui with Holley 4150 DP, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. Hooker Headers, stock HEI (except the Buick pic up coil)
All compared with an unkown Iskey Street / Strip Cam.
Suspension is stock.
And thats why its 30cm high in the air at the frontend. The car is too light. The Airjacks in the back are a PITA, and are gone be replaced by Monroe Sensatrac (as the front already got new)
Although ready is a complete Hyperflex bushing kit to replace these horribly worn out bushings.
Interior is completley covered in red leather (not real - the fake one)
and has ripped of contacts of the domelamp and a broken bushing in the sunvisor
Nothing else I can think of right now.
Cya

So what all you plan to do to it? Did you make the fender grilles? kinda neat. Do you plan to put regular vents in it? Also is that a vynil top?

Ohh yeah, just tried to get the car running again.
Ended up with a burnt spark plug boot (and cable )
Now I know why the previous owner never used one.
Do you have any recommendation for wires and boots in conjunction with these tight hooker headers?
@Blu-By-U 79Z
Plans??? getting it running again after nearly 4 years.
Fender grilles? Nope the previous owner made 'em. Kinda crap.
regular vents would be nice but arent seriously planned, yet.
Yes, a cracking vinyl top.
Oh and some specs right now.
Idle speed 1400 rpm
Vacuum 480mBar
idle mix screws 2 turns from full lean
Ignition 8° BTDC -- but will probably change to 12°

lol sounds like a plan to me lol
Look around for some wirelooms that hold to wires side by side then put both of those wires together and slide the loom down the wire toward the spark plugs until the wires are tight going to the plugs. Should help keep them away from the headers. Just and idea.
