my plain jane 79

these are some pics of my 79. So far me and my dad have smoothed the fire wall, rebuilt the front subframe and put a posi-trac rear in it. it will be used as my high school hot rod. Right now me and my dad have started on the motor.plans are for a mild 350 with about a 125 shot of nitrous. I'm gonna keep most of the interior stock but it will have some racing style seats in the front and a roll bar.

thanks for looking.

Good luck, looks like a nice enough project. It will be cool to have a good old second gen in high school.

baby's new bullet

thanks for all the welcomes. I came home from school today and saw that dad had put the rods in baby's new bullet. I helped put the pan, lifters, water pump on. I'll get the heads back from the machine shop in about two weeks then I can button up the top end.

found some pics of it at the track from a few years ago also found out how to make my pics bigger. anyways the best it has ran was a 11.89 in the quarter. that was with a wore out block. we built another motor put it in the car and the the car sat outside with the motor covered up but water was getting in so yesterday we took the motor and we are going to clean it up and put it back together and put it in the car with a new fogger system

finally got the tranny and converter from my brother. he also gave me a set of turbo mufflers a console for my camaro and a trans tempeture gauge . I am amazed that progress is coming along this fast. should start getting ready to put the motor in soon, I spent one day last week putting the break lines back together in the front. looked at the back line and saw that some stupid pos put a course thread bolt in the line before I bought the car oh well i guess you can't fix stupid after all
