SEM dye ?

I am restoring my interior pieces and wonder about coverage with SEM dye. My interior is med. blue with the exception of some replacement parts which unfortunately I can only get in black. My question is this, is the color consistent from can to can or do I need to try and buy several cans from one batch. I am concerned that if I don't get enough the first time and have to buy more in a couple months (I work a little slow) will there be a noticeable difference. How much should I buy to repaint all of the plastic, kick panels, seat backs, rear arm rest, sail panels. dash etc.?

I have bought it in several colors and have not had any issues with variations from different cans.I've had to get the place where I get mine to order more for me a couple months later.Could or could not be the same batch. It's a very good product.I say you would need 7 to 10 cans for everything.I put 3 light coats on everything.Covered real well.

It's consistent, should be no issues there. Pete aka Fbodywarehouse has some good vids on properly re-dying plastic panels with SEM paint. Just search his website for the vids.

if your are doing it wedgewood blue. SEM discontinued it and I had to use the OER brand interior spray. Pete knows this.

I just went and looked because I have to dye some of my black pieces all over again.

FYI - I used The Parts Place paint for metallic green on my 442 clone, and it's
absolutely horrible. So I'm hearing nothing but good things about SEM and I
bought my black SEM interior paint from a local body shop......because apparently
most body shops use it. That's a good sign.

I just have to get the low luster clear coat as well.

I know I tried to go to rehab for my Camaro addiction but saw a Mustang and hopped the fence and ran to the nearest corner.

There I found a 81 Z28 and the shakes went away...........

How effective is it on armrests as you are constantly touching them...................

I think I answered my own question after seeing the video

How about Dark Carmine Red. I did not see it on the SEM chart.

Thanks!

We have painted the seat backs, kick panels, sail and rear seat panels, also the plastic on the door panel.
Using SEM, we needed 2 cans of paint.
