Front wheel question

Which combination will fit best on my car:

15 x 6

front side setting - 3 1/4

backside setting - 3 3/4

or

front side setting - 4 1/4

backside setting - 2 3/4

my opinion for back spacing is at least half the width of the rim plus 1/2 or so. anything less than half the width is asking for issues.
