Throttle stop ?

Was at the Ihra nationals today and there was a vet in the 10.90 class running a alky injected motor.When he went on the stop the motor would shut off and refire when it came off.Anyone know how this is done.

I have never heard of it shutting off. But we have one that runs 11.10'a at 135mph on a thtottle stop. It is the strangest thing to watch
