Thumbs up Look what arrived today at our dealership...

'10 Mustang base GT w/19" wheels/tires & limited slip rear ($33K MSRP)...still on the trailer:

On the ground...

Dig those crazy sequential LED taillights...

May not look much different to the untrained eye but in fact every panel has changed except for the roof.
Side by side against the current bodystyle and the changes are dramatic.
Sounded throaty too, will have my way with it tomorrow and report back...

Eh...doesn't get the blood flowing I like the other body style better...and for 33K you could get a SS camaro that is 100+ hp more.

I don't like those racing stripes.

What racing stripes?

Its still a mustang.....Unless its fully loaded and has 400HP it not worth 33K!

WOOT! Camaros rock! Mustangs move over....

Still nice photos, is it just me or are they still making the freaking wheel wells bigger? Those 19"s look like the 17"s on the previous generation. Where are the low profile racing tires it needs?

I like the new sheetmetal. Especially the front and rear. They have a more stout look. Will be cool to see the camaro and mustang running the roads again.

33K ????

Sorry, it's a bad economy. That car will be sitting on the lot for awhile.

Like I said before, they ruined the tail lights on the new Mustang. That car looks like am import of some sort from the rear.

Mustang tail lights DON'T flare upwards like that. They ruined the retro look.

LOL...I knew you didn't like the taillights Doug but I tell you,go look at one yourself and see what you think...especially compared to the current generation. The '10 looks much better proportioned and looks much meaner as well. This example is just the latest evolution of the bodystyle. The rear will either have the "I hate it" or "I love it" factions...there will be no in-between there.

The interior was VERY nice and that's where Ford had been lacking...and they knew it.Soft touch higher-quality materials were used throughout and everywhere your fingers touch has a slight "give" to it which translates into quality in alot of people's minds so however you look at it...Ford did their homework there.

Sounded nicely-toned,better than a stock GT so you know the insane money they spend just to perfect a certain sound.
I would hope Ford would make that lower F&R facia body-colored as well as the lower side sills, that would make the car look a whole lot lower.Front looked like it sat well, rear really needs to come down some.

The aftermarket will continue to go crazy with them,I'm anxious to see what stuff will be available for them...

The front looks good, a hint of the 70 model. The rear, well not so keen.

Although I agree with you about the taillights the twenty somethings that might be able to afford it(read:live at home)won't care about styling cues from imports. They will probably embrace it.

There is a supercharger for these already. 495HP on 91 octane. I suspect once the initial flurry of SS Camaro buyers wears off there will be A LOT of those 40K units sitting on the lot as well. An SS Camaro is not going to be a cheap car. Get a deal on a Mustang, bolt on a supercharger and viola, lot's a bang for the buck for less than a 400 HP Camaro and more power to boot.

I suspect some folks don't realize John feeds his family working at that dealership.
