What mini tub kit are you going to use?

Just depends on how "mini" the tub is. You can fit a 10" in one anyway. If you can gain about 3" of clearance a 12" should be no problem.

Look around in this section for TNT's thread about him putting 315 drag radials on a stock wheel well'ed car and stock style rear suspension. That tire has 11 inches of tread width.

I just got a parts car that has 17x11 rear wheels with 315/35 tires in stock wheel well on the rear. Haven't pulled them to check back space yet, but the fit nice. They are very close on the inside and previous owner "massaged" the seat belt hump.
I might take and put them on my 80 just to see how it looks/rides.

I have 315-60s on my car now, but I am thinking on going back to the 295-65s this season.....
15x8 w/ 4 1/2" b.s., lip rolled and slight trimming off the shock mounts...
315s
295s
Do you need more tre than this ?
I would save my $$$ and put it somewhere else in the car vs the mini tub job........

I have yet to race with the 315s but I think they will work fine. I'll find out April 4th! I did roll the outer lip some more. Nothing touches when the suspension travels. The radial is a rugged tire and it does not move around like a slick.
A 10 inch wheel is a must if you want to get the job done. It has shown noticeable gains over the 8" on my ride. I wish the 12" would fit.
