head/cam for 422 stroker

I asked a while back also..Im looking to get as close to 600 hp/tqe out of my next motor..Its a 400 stroked to 422....Ill probably use a hyd roller cam if it is worth alot more power than a solid or hyd cam....Im looking at 225 intake alum heads and want to stay around 10-11 to 1 comp to use pump gas...93 oct)..
Any educated suggestions or desk top dyno help will be appreciated..

AFR 210's for a lower RPM engine, 227's for a upper RPM engine. Brodix KC227's (CNC) or Dart CNC 227's would do the trick equally well.

For a more budget oriented head, Dart 230's.

It's going to take a good set of heads to do 600 with that compression and no solid roller. I'd go the AFR 227 or the new 235's. A solid roller in the 260@.050 range with as much lift as possible.

Thanks for the advice guys..Now let me throw a little twist in this..Right now I have 3:73 gears in it with a 4 speed..The trans has a low (3.42 to 1 ) 1st gear..Its alot of fun with the 355 thats in it, and will rev to7200 rpms.. but its not so good on the highway...I would like to go back to the 3:08s or mabey 3;23 gears....What cam/head package will give me lots of torque from say, 2000 rpms up to about 5500...I dont want to spin the 422 much higher anyway.. One of the rags did a 406 with vortecs and an XE274 cam(the impersonator) a while back and got 525 foot lbs and I think it was around 450 hp...I would think with the extra cubes of a 422 and a better top end package I should be able to get close to 600 foot lbs and close to that in HP...Any thoughts ?
Thanks in adv.. Hulk

Its a borg warner trans...1st gear is 3;42:1 ..Its real low with the 3;73s..
If I remember right, someone here told me with my 4 speed and 3;08s out back, its equivelant to a th350 with 3;73s..
Thanks for the info..
