70 console

Hey I have a 70 plain jane that came with a 6 cyl and a 3 spd on the floor. I just ripped up the carpet and black tar paper like stuff off the floor boards and I see there are 6 plastic inserts on the tunnel like a console would bolt there. My question is did this car come with a console or did all camaro's come with the inserts for the console??

I would think that that is where there would have been the metal inserts for the console brackets if it had been a console car. I have metal inserts in my 70 RS

After looking at it closer they are metal.They just apeared kinda white looking after we sandblasted the floors. So what does a 70 3sp console look like? Is it the same as a 4sp?? Anybody got a good pic of one???
