Whats brand-type solid bushings with SFCs?

What type/brand of solid bushings did you use with the Alston Subframe connectors. Thanks

in all honestly its just a piece of aluminum round stock...
the Brand doesn't really matter... what to look for is price and if it comes with all new GOOD hardware.
ptfb's
global west
speedtech
just to name a few solid bushing brands.
i personally would just get the ones with the best value.

Yep, as long as they are interlocking all of the SFB's are about the same.
Global West, DSE, PT F-body

As they said. They are just round stock aluminum. Now I made mine interlocking so had to do some work on the lathe. But I made this for a fraction of the cost of new. I got my stock from speedymetals online. Could have got local but wanted to try them out for future purchases.

Thank you. I have access to a lathe at work so It was a no brainer for me. Took longer then I thought but still good experience for me. Was my first real project with the lathe.

Of course I'll tell you to get the pro-touring f-body, but othere than being able to be set up 3 different ways there is also another feature of our bushings that is never mentioned, the ability to still "square" the frame to the body with ours, all others do not allow for factory missalignment to be corrected because the center hole is the same size as the bolt

I was wondering if that was a good thing. I bought mine from you and noticed most of the others only had enough room for the bolt only. Now I feel good knowing I can correct some misalignment issues. Thanks again!

if your subframe connectors are bolted in they will loosen over time and wallow out the holes...
if thier welded in you will end up cracking the welds...

the frame is still bolted with rubber between the frame and body that will allow the frame to move independently of the body, so when you connect the two together the connector bolts or welds take all the twisting load, I have a customer that had CE bolt on connectors with rubber body bushings and he broke the welds on the connectors themselves.
The best analogy I can give you is imagine using a shovel that is put together with electrical tape all solid pices but held with rubber!
