The metal part circled is what I need. I have everything else. I lost the bidding on the one on ebay, it went for 31.25, crazy for something someone could make with some 16gauge metal and a plasma cutter.

My 80 Berlinetta got a space-saver.

My 78 SC came from the factory with a space saver (on the build sheet) but actually had a black (not the color of the car) full size rally wheel for a spare.

It had been a "dealer car" for the year before I bought it so it must have been swapped out.

It is the plate that secures the jack in the holder under the package tray. It is somewhat flat that has a hole in it and the wing nut.

Space saver and jack setup from 85 Transam

Just wondering if the space saver spare, bumper jack, inflater etc from an 85 Transam on how different the parts are compared to 79-81Z ? Thanks.

I don't think the jack will work because a 3rd gen jack was intended to be used on the rocker panels. It was a completely different design.

Thanks Mark...too bad. It was a complete setup incuding the inflator can. Looks like it was never used.

Is by chance the tire and inflator can the same ?

I have a 81 z/28 and have a gen 3 jack that I made mounting brackets for. It will jack on any flat surface. I also have a fullsize 15 x 6 steel wheel and a 225 tire for a spare. Saves plastic bumper damage.

I think the tire and inflator should work. I got mine out of a 91 or 92 Z28, but I got it mainly for show. I've never tried to put it on and never will. As far as I know, it's the same bolt pattern though.

Thanks...I would like to pick that tire and inflator for show; but right now I want to set it up with the mini-spare for practicality...since mine is not 100% stock.

Still, you might want to grab it while you can if it's a decent deal! The spacesavers with the inflator are getting more and more scarce and expensive.
