Thanks. I think I was the only confused one that inspired the questions. I've owned 2nd gen camaros so you'd think I would have noticed the body line... apparently I am not that perceptive!

Yes, you were the one that I posted this for, but I have seen others ask in the past, and some don't realize the difference until they buy the wrong set of doors.
BTW: I found a good driver side door and I still have to look in my storage for what I have there.

You are only 2.5 hours from my parents, whom I visit pretty often, so I will plan on coming to get big parts from you all in one shot, when I can pick them up with my truck.
Driver's side is the worst door on the Firebird so that is good to know. If you can find fenders too that will be great
Thanks
Steve

Sticky for the body section.
Thanks Mike

no kiddin... I had no idea the Birds had no body line below the door...
I think I'd prefer that on my Camaro though... too bad that's extended to the fender and quarter too.

it would take only one photo of a camaro door on a firebird or vice versa to show everyone the difference in belt lines (my buddy and I tried it in the mid 80's) its higher on the firebird given the added advantage of having more room under/in the rear wheelwells

the front edge of the camaro door is also sharper-more of a point in the middle, and the firebird door is rounded. i've sold both and every once in a while i have someone try and tell me that they will interchange-that they have done it in the past....yes, you can bolt the door into the hole to keep critters out, but they do not work.
it must be the same people who put firebird doors on the ultra rare camero's.
