Got me wondering, did they ever actually make a split bumper Vega? Lots of fiberglass bodied drag cars are made up that way.

split bumper vegas were very popular in the late 70's since it's just a baby camaro

WOW, I remember this track when I was a kid. It closed in 1985 the year I got my license. I was soooo looking to start drag racing

I love that era for all the awesome Funny Cars. I built a lots of Revell model kits from those same cars.

I'm not a drag racing fan and really don't follow it, but the cars going in opposite directions: is this the road from the pits to the track?

back before the late 70's all T/fuel cars were push started to get them going that is where the term "return road " came from
