Need HELP Rear Suspension binding!!!

I have a 72 Camaro with a stock 10-bolt rear, with subframe connectors. A friend of mine replaced the worn rubber leaf spring bushings with poly ones. Now the rear suspension seems like it is binding. Sits lower on one side. If I raise the car up and put the jack stands under the rear subframe, the springs and bushings make lots of noise when I lower the rear. Is there a special technique in mounting the rear, maybe bolt the front rear spring first then the rear. How about torque settings?
Thanks in advance!!!

Any time you replace the front spring eye bushings with a solid type bushing (Poly, Aluminum) it WILL cause suspension bind. This is has to do with the springs not being able to follow their true arc of motion.
Your best bet is to either replace the front eyes with rubber, or get a spherical bearing conversion from Global West

Along the same lines, I have noticed that you can get rear suspension bind even with rubber in the front eye and del-a-lums in the rear eyes and frame. I have to have the rear shackle nuts on the del-a-lums just snugged down (not fully torqued) in order for the springs to deflect correctly when I put load on the rear end. Any tighter than that and my rear springs won't move. I have never tried polyurethane bushings in the rear.
