i took them down after i re aranged my photobucket, heads are currently being ported, once the motors put back together and detailed,i will toss up the new pics, right now its just tedious work thats not really worth taking pictures of.
although,i MAY be putting a tko600 in the car,if the guy buying the tko falls through, its going into my transam,i was gonna sell the tko to pay to have the th400 built, and MAYBE pay for some of the gear vendors..we'll see
im also waiting on my guy to put the sfc's and the weld the cage in,once thats done i can coat the floor, lay down all the dynamat...and start putting the interior back together, the idea i have brewing for the trunk is going to be SICK.
once the heads are ported ill toss up some pics
im also debating what mounts to go with....

When you figure out the mounts could you tell me. All the ones I found are expensive. Is it possible to weld in ones from another car?
Anyway you have some really cool work in store! The tranny sounds like a cool idea. You really want to back that nice motor with a TH400??
I really love Firebirds. looking at yours really makes me wish I had a bird instead of a Camaro!!!

thanks for the compliments!
i think what i plan on doing is.... what we did with a buddy of mines car..
bolting the adapter plates {60 bucks} to the ls1,then bolting the poly mount, and the frame mount to the motor, and bolting the trans to the stock location on the crossmember...marking the holes where they rest on the frame, and re drilling and just moving the frame mounts..ill take pics along the way.
as far as the trans,im still mixed about it..id love to go with a manual trans since i have the tko600 LOW miles from my mustang in the garage,i have the chance to toss a T56 in as well,so i MAY be doing that, time will tell, once i get the heads finished and the motor buttoned back up,i will take a few more pics.

That's exactly what I had to do with my swap.

That seems easy enough, where did you get your adapter plates and stuff? I will have to subscribe to this thread, it will help me when I do my swap. I think you should go T-56, that is what I am going to do when I get the $$$ The gas savings is just to good to pass up.
Well take care and I cant wait for updates!!

Nice project...
If you are looking for LSX based short/long blocks. Go to LS1tech.. You can get em all day long... cheap!
My 4th gen is sporting a forged 347, pretty big cam,LS6heads/intake,big stall, and is putting down 415/405 to the wheels... in a 3700lb car!
You cannot go wrong with the LSX, only down is the computer/wiring harness..
Good luck
